Some people run away from home to join the circus and others just
join the circus and welding school. This is Jimmy Sundays 8th year Although Jimmy loves being in the circus, he also loves welding. He
volunteering at the Peru Circus in Peru, IN. Circus City Festival Inc. is hoping to work with Norfolk Southern in the future.
Formed in 1960 with the objective of reawakening their rich circus
heritage. The Peru Amateur Circus is made up of approximately 200
young people ages 7 to 21. The volunteers present 10 performances
during an 8 day period in July. Several of the circus performers
have completed their education and have gone on to perform in
            professional shows.

Jimmy is attending HIWT and will be completing the 9 month
Combination Structural and Pipe Welding Program soon. He
attended Kokomo Career Center in Kokomo, Indiana prior to
coming to HIWT. His high school teacher Brian Mikesell has also
participated on the high wire in the circus. In his spare time, Jimmy
has put his welding skills to use by welding and fabricating the
Magic Cube. The magic cube was constructed for the acrobats
in the circus to perform from. Jimmy, along with Allen Day and
some of the other trainers got the idea from an acrobatic group
out of China. After seeing the Peru Amateur Circus, some people
